💸 MuseKit Cash-On-Delivery (COD) Policy

At MuseKit, we want your shopping experience to feel easy, secure, and stress-free. For customers who prefer to pay upon delivery, we offer Cash on Delivery (COD) on eligible orders across India.

Please read the guidelines below to ensure a smooth checkout and delivery experience. 💛

1. COD Availability

COD is eligible for:

  • Orders below ₹1499 (cart total before COD fee)

  • Selected Metro States (Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Karnataka, etc.) pincodes serviced by our delivery partners

PLEASE NOTE: By default our system displays the COD option. But if :
Your Order Total is more than  ₹1499
OR
Your pincode is not COD-eligible and you have selected it while placing your order, 
In such case, Our Team will: 
1. Manually convert it to a 'Prepaid Order' by sending you a payment notification excluding the COD Fee.
2. Cancel your order (should you chose not to go ahead with the prepaid option). 

2. COD Handling Fee – ₹39

A small COD handling fee of ₹39 is added to your shipping charges.
This fee covers:

  • Secure COD processing

  • Cash handling by the delivery partner

  • Additional logistics verification

This fee is non-refundable once the order is packed and dispatched.

3. Orders Above ₹699

Orders above ₹699 enjoy Free Shipping, however COD still incurs the ₹39 handling fee if selected.

(You only pay for the convenience of COD — not the delivery.)

4. IMPORTANT: COD Fee Appears After Your Order Is Placed

To keep checkout smooth, the ₹39 COD fee is not reflected instantly in the total shown during checkout.

Here is how it works:

  • You place a COD order

  • Our team manually adds the COD fee to your order

  • The updated amount is forwarded to our delivery partner

  • You receive an updated invoice via email showing the final payable amount

This ensures complete transparency and accuracy in billing.

5. Order Verification for COD Orders

To prevent fraudulent or accidental orders, we may perform an automated or manual verification:

  • WhatsApp confirmation

  • Email Confirmation 

  • Phone call in rare cases

Unverified COD orders may be cancelled automatically.

6. No Fake / Rejected COD Orders

Please place a COD order only if you are sure you will accept the package.

Frequent refusals may lead to:

  • COD being disabled for your account

  • Prepaid-only orders being allowed in the future

We take this step to ensure fair and smooth operations for all customers.

7. Change of Delivery Address

Delivery address cannot be changed once the COD order is shipped.
Kindly double-check your details before placing the order.

8. Refunds on COD Orders

COD orders are not eligible for refunds back to cash.

If a return is approved (for legitimate reasons), you will receive:

9. How COD Amount Appears on Your Invoice

Your updated invoice will clearly show:

  • Product Total

  • Shipping Fee

  • + COD Handling Fee ₹39 (combined under shipping adjustments)

  • Final Payable Amount

This is the amount your delivery agent will collect.
